I thank God that I had a chance to know Pastor Jones. He was a man after God's own heart. He taught me how to walk in love and how to love people. He was the only man that ever came close to being a father figure in my life. I will always remember his gentle smile, his kind words, and his heart of gold. He will always be remembered. Love Debra.

To The Jones Family,
Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I learned of Oliver's demise from his sister Nora. I have known his family since high school at BTW. I considered him a friend. I pray that memories will sustain you and keep you in the days ahead.

His legacy will live forever in the hearts of those left behind. Rest in peace, Oliver!!!

Leonard and I pray that the peace of God will comfort your family in your time of sorrow. Our prayers are with you and you have our sincere sympathy. Both Pastor and Sister Jones have truly made a positive impact upon our lives. Mountaintop Southeast Ministries, you embraced us with your love when we needed it most. While there at Mountaintop, we were taught the uncompromising Word of God. We learned how to walk by faith and how to be bold and stand on the Word of God. Pastor Jones will truly be missed. He was a true soldier. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.

We love you all and will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Pastor Jones, I am so glad to have had a chance to be a part of your spritual guidance. I must say l will miss your phone calls because we always kept in touch. I know everything is o.k. now because you always told me absent in the body but present with the lord. So family be strong god is in control now all we can do is hold on to the words he taught us and we shall meet again.

It is with great sorrow and joy that I write this.
"To God be the glory" is the first thing I think about when I think of my pastor. I weep because of the loss MTSEM and the Jones family has suffered, butI am thankful to God that He allowed His faithful servant to remain on Earth, for as long as He did, so Pastor Jones could touch so many lives--including mine.
--To the Jones family, I pray that the peace of God comforts your family in this time of sorrow.Just remember
"God don't make no mistakes"

What a great man of God…
I am so thankful for Pastor Jones being an influential part of my life. He has thought me how to live, he taught me the Word of God, and he taught me that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I received my foundation of learning the word of God with Pastor Jones. He has planted seeds in me that have grown to harvest. Yes, without the words being said, he will be missed - He fought a good fight and now is the time for him to be crowned. I will always share and hold the radiant memories of my Pastor. He has bless my life in unimaginable ways

Mountain Top Family continues to be strong and carry on the legacy to serve and live out the vision that Pastor Jones sought after.

Mrs. Jones I will always love you – you are such a powerful women.

Love

We remember as children when Nora and Oliver would come to visit us for the summer. Oliver would pay us nickles to call him uncle little did we know that Momma had sent them to us, when Duck and Oliver would try to out sing each other and when he taught the smaller children the nursery rhymes all wrong. These fun times and long hot summers are fun memories that we will carry for the rest of our earlhly lives but the memory of the man that he became will always be remembered. To Nobie, we love you because you loved our uncle and cared for him as only Christ can give you the strength to do. What an example to two of you have given this family.

We thank God for allowing Oliver this man of God to be apart of our lives.

My Pastor, Oliver Jones. What a man of God. As others have mentioned, words do little justice to clearly and holistically describe such a man. Pastor Jones not only taught the word, believed on word, but actually lived out the word, in radiant color! In this present day, one would be hard-pressed to find a man so eagar and zealous to point others to the Cross as Christ intended. I visited with Pastor two weeks before his homegoing, and he gave me two obvious instructions. One, he sternly implored that I do not settle for mediocrity as a man of God, but that I should be "God's man." A man upholding a notable standard of character and integrity concerning the faith. Secondly, to simply "stay ready." It is my intent to express my gratitude to my Pastor and the life he lived as well as the impact that he had on me by living up to the measure of potential that he saw in me. With love, Terrence and Cindi Campbell

Oliver and Sonovia were our across-the-street neighbors for many years while Courtney and one of his sisters were growing up. We always enjoyed waving to Oliver and calling "hello" to each other and visiting in the driveway. He'd offer wisdom and we'd share a chuckle about life. Stan and I liked having them as neighbors.

We are saddened by Oliver's death and we offer our condolences to Sonovia and Courtney and the rest of the family. Peace be with you.
